Frequently Asked Questions

How does shipping work?

All Topics  |  Shipping and Delivery

It works pretty well!

We ship our furniture nationwide using a "White Glove" shipping service. This means that your furniture is transported from our North Carolina factory to you, brought into your home, unpacked, and installed in place. The shippers will then remove any packaging material. This service is convenient and hassle-free.

The shipping service's delivery schedules vary according to destination. In many cases, it will take between one and four weeks to deliver your furniture, after your beautiful new Roger + Chris furniture has been built just for you. Note that deliveries can take longer for West Coast recipients, those in remote areas, and in cases where scheduling does not permit earlier delivery.

We will provide you with multiple quotes from shipping companies, giving you an opportunity to select the carrier you prefer. After ordering your furniture, we will provide them with delivery information and will place them in contact with you to pay for the service. The cost varies depending on the size of the item and destination. We can provide an estimate prior to placing your order.

Alternatives:

If you would prefer to use an alternative freight shipping method or wish to pick up directly from us, we are happy to accomodate you.1

We can work with you to arrange for curbside delivery (rather than "White Glove"). In this scenario, the freight company would bring the furniture to your home, and you would be responsible for carrying it into your house and disposing of the packaging. In most cases, your furniture will be delivered in less than one week after construction has been completed.

On request, we can also arrange to have your furniture delivered to a local freight location and then picked up by a mover in your area. This may combine the best of both worlds, with faster delivery and the equivalent of "White Glove" installation in your home, but it may involve additional expense.

We are happy to consult with you regarding the best shipping strategy for your order. Please contact us with any questions.

  1. The furniture we manufacture is too large for shipping companies like UPS or FedEx, and must be shipped freight.
