From J.B. Martin · Velvet Fabric · 100% cotton

Woven in South Carolina, Como is an 100% cotton velvet with a smooth texture. This velvet has a soft hand but is also extremely durable at 100,000 double rubs. JB Martin has been producing fine velvets since 1832, originally in Lyon, France and now for over 100 years in the USA.

Consider Instead

Other great options from J.B. Martin include Cannes, a similar-looking line of cotton velvet with additional colors, and Porto, a polyester velvet with a similar look and better cleanability.

Toughness

Toughness indicates wear resistance. On leather, this includes scratch resistance. On fabric, this includes pilling resistance and double-rub rating. More dots = more toughness.

Cleanability

Cleanability indicates how stain-resistant a fabric or leather is. Lines with max cleanability are highly stain-resistant and can safely be cleaned using a wider range of products. More dots = more cleanable.

Fade Protection

Some fabrics and leathers are more protected against bleaching from exposure to UV light. We can help determine if this is a serious issue for your application. More dots = more fade resistant.

Price

This adds 11% to the furniture price. Some fabrics and leathers cost us more. While we don't mark up our materials, pricier lines will add to the cost of your furniture. More dots = higher prices.
